Found an interesting video describing the concept of :

“Two to the body, one to the head, is guaranteed to leave them DEAD.”

FirearmPop made this interesting video demonstrating his technique for self defense in close quarters for those that carry concealed pistols. He demonstrates the good practice of shooting twice to the torso and once to the head for times that you must defend yourself. The important part is that he practices that way as well.

Practice is important for muscle memory; that is why all professional athletes spend time rehearsing their response for times when they are under pressure to perform. Defending yourself and your loved ones is even more important than some athlete winning a game.
Carrying and using a concealed firearm is an important responsibility. Practicing your response for those times you are threatened could save your life.

Chamber flags are a quick and inexpensive method of identifying unloaded firearms. They save time and energy from constantly checking whether a gun is loaded with a bullet in the firing chamber. This can be a valuable addition to your safety practices, especially where other people come into contact with your firearms.

Steve Lee, the gun-rights singer from Australia has another great song and music video out. It is called “I’ll Give Up My Gun.” A very interesting song with a good message about being a gun owner and fanatic. The video has some humor to it, as well as a bit of history.

This song follows his other hit song “I Like Guns,” which is a Youtube sensation for all of us that love anything that shoots a bullet. This new song has a great video to accompany the song and help explain it. Mostly the Australian experience of gun control. This was a tough lesson in how gun rights can be lost for a whole country.

Steve shows off some nice rifles, pistols, and revolvers, providing some cool images.

Enjoy!

Criminals use and possess weapons to use for criminal purposes. The term “weapon” is intended to mean an instrument used to attack a victim. Criminals use these tools to commit violent crime against victims that may or may not be intended.

Law-abiding citizens arm themselves for defense of their person and their loved ones. Firearms, knives, mace, tasers, etc. are used to defend against criminals with intentions of violent crimes. These items used for self defense should not be referred to as weapons, though police and media continue to do so.

The police classify all guns, knives, etc as weapons whether a person is a bad guy or not. The media continue the myth from the police, and spread the fear and terror to their public audience.

The good guys carry guns, firearms, pistols, defensive tools, knives, spray, etc. The bad guys are the ones with the weapons, and the American public needs to continually remind ourselves, the police, and the media of this fact.

This is a great vintage video with a former police officer explaining the difference in weapons technology. It also includes government testimony about how the term “assault rifle” is misleading and hard to define. Testimony about the criminals converting semi-automatic rifles to full automatic rifles is included.

The gun industry has gotten a windfall from the election of President Obama. Even though there have not been any moves by the Administration to get an Assault Weapons Ban or do other things to limit firearms, there has been a huge buying frenzy for guns and ammunition. Anybody that has tried to get ammo for pistols lately knows that WalMart has had empty shelves for at least the last six months.

Many pistols have long back orders and guns are getting bought up in record numbers. The number of people getting Concealed Weapons Carry permits has been huge as well. Smith & Wesson announced yesterday that their fourth-quarter profit more than doubled as compared to a year ago.

The fear and frenzy of the loss of second amendment rights has helped to educate those who have taken these rights for granted. The fear of not being able to get guns in the future has caused many prior non-gun owners to go out and get educated and purchase a firearm.

The gun industry has had strong sales and awakening from a larger cross section of the public, thanks to the election of President Obama. The threat of losing gun rights has awakened and encouraged a larger awareness among the public.

Firearms safety is one of the vital considerations we all need to make to protect ourselves, family, and neighbors. Handling practices, storage, and control of the weapon are of utmost importance.

Handling all weapons, wheather it be knives or guns, must be taken very seriously. Considering the direction of the muzzle of pistols must be a constant awareness. Using built-in safeties is important, but ALL firearms must be always considered ready to fire. All firearms must be handled as if they are ready to fire, whether you are pulling the trigger or not.

Storing of firearms must be taken seriously to consider all possibilities for detection of unauthorized users. Whether it is by children or theives, the wrong people may get your gun. Care should be taken to ensure very good security and very good concealment.

Personal safety during practice is also important. Eye protection is vitally important. Metal and chemicals are flying, and they do not belong in a person’s eyes. Ears need to be protected to ensure hearing loss is minimized. Skin must be protected from chemicals, burns (including sun), and bruising.

Most people take safety very seriously, and hopefully you are one of them. But watch out for the next guy. Keep aware of situations where somebody else is not as safe and may harm you. Whether it is at the range, on the street, or in a home, the other guy is what you cannot control.
