This is a great vintage video with a former police officer explaining the difference in weapons technology.  It also includes government testimony about how the term “assault rifle” is misleading and hard to define.  Testimony about the criminals converting semi-automatic rifles to full automatic rifles is included.

The news story can be found here. There is some good video from the dash camera of the responding patrol car.  There are also a bunch of pictures of the firing line, Browning machine gun, and damage to neighboring property over a mile away.

A related story shows that a couple of the guys were charged with careless discharge of a firearm after the incident as a result of the ricochets.  Everything else about the event was legal.
