Bob Barr is a former Republican U.S. Representative from Georgia’s 7th District. Worked hard as the Presidential Candidate in 2008 under the Libertarian Party label and a National Rifle Association board member among many other accomplishments.
I found a great interview where Mr Barr discusses the challenges face by Americans with regard to their Second Amendment gun rights. Governments are continually looking for ways to limit freedom, especially with regards to firearms. The Heller and McDonald Rulings were not definitive enough to limit government’s intent on restricting firearm ownership. He also considers the international pressures at the end.
This video was posted by Youtube user JohnLockeFoundation1 who noted that “Barr offered these comments during an interview for Carolina Journal Radio (CarolinaJournalRadio.com) Program No. 396. Video courtesy of CarolinaJournal.tv.” The post dated was December 17, 2010.
The Escondido Bomb House was burned on December 9, 2010. This house was rented by a mysterious man who amassed large amounts of bomb-making materials. It was determined that the disposal of these materials would best be accomplished by destroying them in place. Bomb disposal experts determined that it would be too risky to dispose of these materials by removing them from the location. The entire structure was likely too contaminated with chemicals to warrant the cost of cleanup.
The location was appropriate to allow the structure to be burned. Many precautions were taken, including large evacuations, street closures, and fire exposure measures. The burn resulted in several explosions, including many rounds of ammunition.
Not any indication if there were any guns found to go with the ammo.
More information can be found from many sources, including the North County Times.
John Stossel has his own show on Fox Business. He is doing a great job on digging into touchy issues. Very interesting and informative. John does a great job of doing objective reporting.
In this clip, Concealed Carry on Campus is discussed. Several interviews from both sides of the issue. A good look at the actual laws and realities of the situation.
Currently most college campuses do not allow law-abiding citizens to legally carry concealed weapons for self defense.
Students for Concealed Carry and the Brady Campaign each contribute to make their cases. Includes the situation of what happened at Virginia Tech.
Should the concealed carry laws be different just because a place is considered a college campus? Many of these campuses make weapons illegal for ALL citizens, not just students.
Congrats to those colleges that allow for legal self defense weapons!
Funny Youtube clip making fun of Michael Moore and including guns. Steven Crowder does a great job making videos that are funny and insightful.
The video below includes a humorous perspective on gun control and a spoof of Michael Moore. Discusses the Obama Assault Weapons Ban and their assault on the Second Amendment.
I am now aware that Santa is a gun lover. I had not known this before, but Youtube user tnoutdoors9 put up a video on Youtube to prove how much Santa Clause really is into guns.
He has a wide range of tastes, including rifles, shotguns, and semi-automatic pistols. The video includes a Glock 19, Glock 22, Ruger 10/22, Mossberg 590, three AR-15′s.
It is very funny and very entertaining.
This is the most entertaining rendition of Jingle Bells that I have ever heard!
My next question is whether Santa Clause is a concealed carrier.
