Mixing Sports for Excitement!

Sometimes a couple of sports need to be mixed to liven things up a bit.

Mixing the sport of Golf with Skeet Shooting would seemingly make a complimentary combination. One person hitting objects into the air, while another person shoots them back down.

Thanks SnoopyCk for the hilarious video!

This is a funny vid,  sort of like Candid Camera but especially for gun nuts!  With all of the serious things going on in life and the world, sometimes we just need to stop and have a good laugh.

This should make you smile next time you drive past a golf driving range.

KSG Kel-Tec Shotgun

Have a quick video of some KSG test firing footage.  Posted by KelTecWeapons, this video is a great way to introduce this new firearm to the internet.

Kel-Tec’s KSG is a dual fed bull-pup pump action shotgun. Equipped with two tubular magazines holding 7 rounds each, plus one in the chamber allow for a total capacity of 15 rounds of 12 gauge firepower in a compact package. Accessing these rounds requires that you manually switch between the two tubes with a selector switch. It is designed for the casings to eject downwards.

This gun is Kel-Tec’s first attempt at a shotgun design.  Making it’s debut at the 2011 SHOT Show, this firearm has received much acclaim.

Picatinny rails are mounted above on the top of the barrel, and below on the pump action. These will accommodate a variety of additions for lights, lasers, and grips.

MSRP is in the $800 range.  Civilian and Law Enforcement models will be available.

Perspective on Wolf Ammo

Ammunition sold under the Wolf name has gotten a bad reputation.  The question is whether this bad reputation is deserved.

Wolf ammo is made with a steel case with a polymer coating.  The debated question asks about what this ammunition arrangement does to the firearm that is shooting it.

Youtube user Sturmgewehre makes the case that Wolf ammunition works fine, especially in his AR-15.  He is very experienced with this ammo and firearms in general.  This is a great video.

Wolf ammunition is inexpensive and affordable as a practice round.  As explained in the video, its’ use should be limited in use with indoor firing ranges.  Sparks from the metal bullet core can cause problems due to the presence of gunpowder.

Bob Barr’s view of Challenges to Second Amendment Rights

Bob Barr is a former Republican U.S. Representative from Georgia’s 7th District.  Worked hard as the Presidential Candidate in 2008 under the Libertarian Party label and a National Rifle Association board member among many other accomplishments.

I found a great interview where Mr Barr discusses the challenges face by Americans with regard to their Second Amendment gun rights.  Governments are continually looking for ways to limit freedom, especially with regards to firearms.  The Heller and McDonald Rulings were not definitive enough to limit government’s intent on restricting firearm ownership. He also considers the international pressures at the end.

This video was posted by Youtube user JohnLockeFoundation1 who noted that “Barr offered these comments during an interview for Carolina Journal Radio (CarolinaJournalRadio.com) Program No. 396. Video courtesy of CarolinaJournal.tv.”  The post dated was December 17, 2010.
