Review: A Perfect Gun for Ladies

While choosing a self-defense or concealed-carry gun is a highly personal decision, many people have found it helpful to view other’s reviews and experiences with various handguns. There can be many reasons for this. Some people don’t have access to a wide variety of test weapons or ranges to try out guns; others don’t have the time to take out of their busy schedule to try out the hundreds of different models available.

I had the opportunity to test out the Ruger LC9 3200 last week at my local gun range. A little background information.  I am a 20-something, 5’4” female, with unusually small hands. As a result, finding a concealed-carry pistol has proven to be a bit of a challenge.  Astonishingly, when I put the LC9 in my hand, it felt comfortable, lightweight, and manageable. The LC9 is a double-action-only, hammer-fired, lock-breeched pistol. It measures about 6 inches long, with a 3.12 inch barrel. The trigger, while a little long, is very smooth. For a female shooter, it is a great gun. The recoil is as small as a 9mm gun can possibly be. And as a concealed-carry or self-defense gun, the 9mm, 7+1 magazine and optional laser-site (model 3206) only makes it more desirable.

Having personally used this pistol, I would highly recommend that any woman looking for a concealed-carry weapon look into the Ruger LC9 3200 at their local gun shop.
