Hope for Border Patrol?

H.R. 915: Jaime Zapata Border Enforcement Security Task Force Act is in U.S. Congressional Committee right now discussing the formation of a Border Patrol program. The exact text that is in committee right now is;

“To establish a to enhance border security by fostering coordinated efforts among Federal, State, and Local border and law enforcement officials to protect United States border cities and communities from trans-national crime, including violence associated with drug trafficking, arms smuggling, illegal alien trafficking and smuggling, violence, and kidnapping along and across the international borders of the United States, and for other purposes.”

Keeping in mind that the exact wording of this act may (and probably will) change; there is some encouragement in that this bill is even being considered. What do you think?
